General Electric has recalled over 92,000 ge,ge profile, and kenmore double wall ovens to correct a fire hazard involving the top mount microwave oven.

Engineers have verified that a door switch could over heat and ignite components in the microwave, there have been about 35 reports of this incident resulting in property damage but no injuries.

There are no problems with the lower thermal oven, the recalled ovens were sold between january 2000 and december 2003 and can be identified by the model number printed on a label on the lower left corner of the front of the oven.

GE is offering a rebate for purchasing a replacement ge product,

the number is--1888 240 2745.

Why can I not get any satisfaction from GE on a problem with my GE Pro Microwave oven. KV

keep calling customer service and when you speak to someone ask if there is a manager avaliable for that department, if you are lucky to speak to a manager or whoever you speak to, make a note of there name or badge id---don't just write john smith, get a number that will identify that particular person so if you call again you can say who told you what, and try to be polite even extra nice even though you do not feel like it.

I have GE Microwave oven, size is 1.6cu ft. It is misbehaving when running. It stops whenever it starts cooking or warming your food. It never goes through a cook routine. The power light will flick a couple of times and the oven comes to a stop. Please tell me what to do. I do not have to go get another microwave. This one is brand new less than a year. Thanks.

IF it is less that a year i would return it to the store for a new one,usually there is a one year store warranty on new appliances,look for your paper work and do this as soon as possible

I had got a dream to start my own business, but I didn't have enough of cash to do that. Thank goodness my colleague said to utilize the business loans. Therefore I received the college loan and made real my desire.

I have a Sears Kenmore microwave and the lable that is right inside when u open the door caught on fire and melted the top part of the inside of the door. It is no longer useable

i have a kenmore microwave oven and the door is cracking in the same place as the first door i had replaced i am not wanting to replace doors every time i turn around i want another microwave that is not going to do this i paid 259 dollars for it and it is as i classify as a lemon and a headache this is getting to be a pain to pay so much for a hunk of junk is this the best they can make for the price i sure hope not
