frigidaire icemakers use the same principles as other brands, you need a water supply connected to the cold water pipe with a shut off valve so you can shut down the supply in case of a pipe bursting between the supply connection and somewhere on the refrigerator.

depending on your model refrigerator you might have more than one water valve behind the refrigerator, one for the icemaker and the other for the water through the door, so make sure to check,you might be getting water through the door but that dont mean the valve for the icemaker is working.

also check to see if the tube going up to the icemaker is broken, usually they break close to where they come out of the water valve as this is usually a plastic pipe, these plastic pipes get dry and crack over the years.

remember to disconect the refrigerator from the power before you do any inspections.

before you try to make any repairs make sure the water supply is turned on, if the refrigerator was moved for any reason like replacing a wall or other construction in your home chances are after they replace it they forget to turn the water back on.
