leaking water is one of the most common problems in a dishwasher --it can leak from having too much soap or a damage door--or a broken pump or hose however one rare problem that i see once every 18 nonths or so is a defective or not moving spray arm--when the dishwasher is washing the spray arm goes around spraying up water at the dishes, but if the spray arm is in a stationary position too much water going into one direction will cause the dishwasher to leak--most times a spoon or a fork will fall down in the path of the spray arm and prevent it from spining freely.

I've noticed tht very problem, and I was surprised that a stuck spray arm would cause the machine to leak.

our fridgedair dishwasher, model Ultra quiet 3 (500-700 series) Very loud noise when filling.
